Your 2023 capital city pride royal court
miss capital city pride victoria valentineIn 1998 Chad Terro created the illusion of Victoria Valentine as a dare to do a benefit show in Alexandria, La. to raise money to help a friend who was competing for the Title of Miss Gay Louisiana America. It was never the plan to continue to do drag but all it took was that one time on the stage and he was hooked! Victoria then became a fierce competitor in the America system. In 2001 Victoria captured the title of Miss Gay Louisiana which gave her the opportunity to travel throughout the south making strong connections and helping others in any way she could while promoting the America system. Victoria is overly excited to be representing the Capital City as Miss Pride and is looking forward to continuing to spread love throughout our community.

mr capital city pride christopher godalChris is 33 years old, born and raised in California and moved to Louisiana as a teenager. He came out senior year of high school with the usual struggle of acceptance. Come to find out the community in Baton Rouge has been filled with so much love. He found his passion with hair and makeup/ barbershop just over 2 years ago. "Being a part of this community means so much to me. I wish the rest of the world can see how much positivity and light we shed. Im a very passionate person and I have mad respect for each and every individual that I come across. My goal in life is to be the best version of myself I possibly can be. To have fun, and be respectful to all walks of life. I live by treating others the way that I would like to be treated."

mz capital city pride kaycee kerschKaycee has devoted her entire life to helping others. She’s an RN in the ICU where she treats every patient and family member with kindness and grace during their worst moments and offers them comfort in times of need. Outside of work, you can find her rescuing every distressed animal she encounters, whether it’s relocating a lost earthworm, rehydrating an anguished bee, or bottle feeding a squirrel. No animal is too small or undeserving of her care. While not caring for living beings, Kaycee enjoys various hobbies. She is a singer songwriter who has played from Texas to Tennessee with the release of an album in 2018. She also manages her TikTok famous chihuahua, Tina. She enjoys all of these simplicities of life alongside her wife and three kids.

royal capital city pride mine "mimi" dogûMine Dogu (Lokum) started performing drag in 2010 under the stage name "RoXXie," winning Splash’s drag idol and performing with the Krewe of Divas around Louisiana. Drag allowed her to explore and put words to her identity, which led to the start of her gender transition in 2014. The following year, she served as the Trans Program Coordinator for HAART and as a board member of the Capital City Alliance. She began performing drag again during the pandemic, making digital content under the name “Lokum,” which nodded to her Turkish heritage and felt more representative of who she had become as an entertainer and a woman. She is honored to be Miss Royal Capitol City Pride 2023 and hopes to inspire others to unabashedly be their most authentic selves and thrive in a world that constantly tells trans people they shouldn't even exist.
